We are an online-only luxury furniture and lighting boutique, and do not have a warehouse. Consequently, all orders are drop shipped directly from our manufacturers to your door. If your order includes items from more than one manufacturer, you will receive multiple deliveries. Because we are dependent on the on-hand inventory of our manufacturing partners, some items listed on our site may not actually be available right away. Please call us at 888.784.4644 or via our contact form with any stocking questions and we'll get in touch with the appropriate manufacturer for answers, before you place your order.Ground Shipping
Small parcel items ship regular ground via delivery services such as FedEx, UPS or DHL. Orders typically take 2-3 business days to process and in-stock items will usually be delivered 3-5 days from the date that they ship (depending on origin and destination). If there is a delay, you will be notified by email. No signature is required for standard ground shipping, so you may want to make arrangements to have packages brought inside soon after delivery, if you are unable to receive it in person.Composition and care
Composition and care
We speak a lot about the importance of gut health—not only for beauty—but also in terms of our overall health, wellbeing and immunity. But before we can fully understand why the gut is so integral to our health, it’s first essential to learn more about the physiology of the gut itself—and how it works.
Description
AMICET – LC – KID – Tablet
The tablet containing Montelukast 5 mg + Levocetirizine 2.5 mg is used in children for the relief of allergic symptoms such as a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, hay fever, and allergic skin conditions. It may also be used in the management of mild asthma, particularly when allergies contribute to asthma attacks.
AMICET – LC – KID – Tablet
Key Benefits
This medication works by combining two active ingredients:
- Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that blocks histamine, a chemical messenger responsible for common allergy symptoms like itching, sneezing, and a runny nose.
- Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist that blocks other chemical messengers (leukotrienes) which cause inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose, making breathing easier and helping to prevent asthma attacks.
The combination is effective in providing comprehensive relief from both daytime and nighttime allergy symptoms.
Dosage Information
The dosage should always be determined and supervised by a pediatrician or a qualified healthcare professional, as it depends on the child’s age, weight, and the severity of the condition being treated. The following are general guidelines from medical sources and do not replace professional medical advice:
- Standard Pediatric Dosing (Age 6-11 years): A common recommended dose for this age group is a 2.5 mg Levocetirizine / 5 mg Montelukast tablet or half of a 5 mg Levocetirizine / 10 mg Montelukast tablet once daily in the evening. The 5 mg Montelukast component is generally the standard daily dose for children aged 6 to 14 years.
- Per kg Body Weight: Standard dosing for this fixed-dose combination is typically based on age ranges rather than a specific dose per kilogram of body weight for children above 6 years old. For children 2-5 years of age, a lower dose of Levocetirizine (1.25 mg, typically in oral solution form) with Montelukast 4 mg is used, but this is also an age-based recommendation.
Important Considerations:
- Consult a Doctor: Never start or stop this medication without consulting a doctor, as the abrupt discontinuation of asthma medication can worsen the condition.
- Acute Attacks: This medication is for prevention and management, not for stopping an acute asthma attack that has already started. A child’s rescue inhaler should be used for that purpose.
- Side Effects: The most common side effects are mild and temporary, including sleepiness, headache, stomach pain, and diarrhea.
- Administration: It can be given with or without food, preferably at a fixed time each day, often in the evening.
